1.6mm acid core solder wire for soldering steel, tin and brass sheet metal.
Description
Acid core solder wire, 1.6mm thick, with a flux core that cleans the metal as the solder flows. Acid-cored solder is for sheet metal work on steel, tinplate, brass and copper, such as gutters, flashings and metal repairs. Stock description: SOLDER ACID CORE 30S 1.6MM.
Do not use acid core solder on electrical or electronic work, as the flux residue corrodes wires and circuit boards; use rosin core solder there. Wash off flux residue after soldering and work in a ventilated area.
