Javelin Chipping Hammer

Description

A Javelin chipping hammer for knocking slag off welds after stick welding, and removing spatter and scale. One end has a chisel edge and the other a point for getting slag out of corners and grooves. Every arc welder needs one to clean welds between runs and before painting.

Let the weld cool slightly, then chip away from yourself with light blows. Always wear safety glasses, as hot slag can fly. Follow up with a wire brush for a clean finish before the next run or before priming.

• Removing welding slag
