Description
High-speed steel bits are the standard choice for drilling mild steel, aluminium, plastics and timber. The titanium coating reduces friction and heat so the edges stay sharp longer than plain HSS.
Drill metal at a slower speed with a drop of cutting oil, and centre-punch first so the bit does not wander. The larger set gives a wider spread of sizes.
Used for:
- Drilling mild steel and aluminium
- Pilot holes in timber
- Plastic and sheet work
