115mm depressed-centre (T27) grinding disc, 6mm thick, for rough grinding of stainless steel and steel.
Description
A 6mm thick depressed-centre grinding disc for 115mm angle grinders, in an A24X aluminium-oxide grade marked INOX for stainless steel. Inox discs are made to keep iron contamination off stainless, so welds can be ground back without the work rusting later.
Grind at a shallow angle of about 15 to 30 degrees with the guard on, and never cut with a grinding disc. Check that the rpm rating on the disc is higher than the grinder speed.
Used for:
- Grinding back welds on stainless steel
- Removing burrs and sharp edges
- Rough grinding of steel sections
Not for cutting; use a thin cut-off disc.
