Class 3 hex-head tek roofing screws with a T17 cut tip and dual thread, for fixing IBR roof sheeting to timber. Sizes 5.5 x 65mm to 5.5 x 90mm.
Description
A roofing tek screw made for fixing IBR and similar sheeting to timber purlins and rafters. The dual-thread shank drills through the sheet, and a break in the thread lets it spin free at the sheet while the T17 cut tip drives into the wood below, so the sheet is pulled down without stripping.
Drive with a power drill and nutsetter, held square to the sheet, and fit a bonded washer under the head for a watertight seal. The Class 3 coating suits inland areas. Eureka says it is not for coastal sites or for zincalume (Chromadek) sheeting.
Used for:
- IBR roof sheeting to timber purlins
- Side cladding to timber framing
- Carports and lean-to roofs on timber
Not for coastal areas, steel purlins or Chromadek sheeting.
