Eureka Tek Screw for Metal, T3 Tip, Smooth Shank 5.5 x 120mm – 50 Pack

Description

Eureka self-drilling tek screws with a T3 cut tip that drills its own hole in steel up to about 3mm, so no pilot hole is needed. The hex head is driven with a nut setter in a drill or impact driver.

Set the screw square to the sheet, start slowly and let the tip drill through before the thread takes. Do not overdrive, or the thread strips.

Used for:

• Fixing roof sheeting with thick insulation to steel purlins
• Fixing timber battens and frames to steel
• Long fixings through spacers

Not for timber purlins; use T17 wood tek screws.
