Eureka full-thread hex-head Tek screw with a T3 self-drilling tip, for metal-to-metal fixing up to 5mm combined thickness.
Description
A self-drilling screw for general steel construction and metal-to-metal joints. The drill point must pass right through the steel before the thread engages; if it engages early, the screw can stop drilling and the head can snap.
Install with a power drill and nutsetter below 1,500 rpm, held at 90°. Do not drill through welded joints.
For roof sheeting, the dual-thread Tek screw is the better choice.
Used for:
- Steel brackets, angle and channel
- Metal frames and carports
- Metal-to-metal fixing
Not for steel thicker than 5mm combined, or for timber.
