Eureka Stubby Double-Ended Titanium Drill Bit for Metal
Price range: R32.90 through R86.90 incl. VAT
Short double-ended titanium nitride coated bits for drilling metal, sold singly or as a 3-piece set.
Description
Eureka stubby double-ended drill bits are short, stiff bits with a cutting point at each end, so when one end dulls the bit can be turned round. They are popular for drilling rivet holes in sheet metal, gutters and trims. The thin titanium nitride coating makes them harder and sharper than HSS black bits, and Eureka rates their life at about five times longer when used correctly.
Keep the drill speed low and lubricate the tip to limit heat. Once a bit is resharpened, the cutting edge loses the benefit of the coating. The 3.2, 4 and 4.8mm sizes match common rivet diameters.
Used for:
- Rivet holes in sheet metal, gutters and flashing
- Short, accurate holes in steel and aluminium
Not for masonry, tile or hammer drilling.
Single bit, or set of 3
