Aluminium peel-type blind rivet 4 x 12mm, pack of 20, for fixing hard materials to soft or brittle ones.
Description
A peeled (petal) blind rivet: as it is set, the body splits into several legs that spread out behind the material. This gives a wide bearing area and less risk of cracking soft or brittle base materials such as plastic, fibreglass or thin board.
Install with a rivet gun through a pilot hole sized as on the packet label, using the correct nozzle, and pump until the mandrel snaps off. Moderate corrosion protection; not watertight.
Used for:
- Metal to plastic
- Signs and trims to soft panels
- Fixings into brittle materials
Not watertight; not for structural joints.
