Eureka Drywall Ceiling Screw, Coarse Thread, Phillips
Price range: R28.90 through R42.90 incl. VAT
Coarse-thread drywall ceiling screws with an enlarged head and Phillips drive, for fixing ceiling boards to timber. Sizes 4.2 x 40mm and 4.8 x 40mm.
Description
A coarse-thread drywall screw with a larger head than a standard drywall screw. The wider head spreads the load and makes it less likely to pull through the board, which matters overhead where the board hangs off the screws. Made for fixing to timber brandering and joists.
Eureka says these cannot be driven with a drywall depth bit: use a No.2 Phillips bit and stop when the head sits flush with the board. Overtightening tears the paper face and weakens the fixing. Interior use only.
Used for:
- Ceiling boards to timber brandering
- Plasterboard ceilings
- Interior board fixing to timber
Not for steel studs or outdoor use.
Sold in packs (quantity per option).
