Eureka Dome (Acorn) Nut, Galvanised

Description

Eureka dome nuts, also called acorn nuts, have a rounded closed top that covers the exposed end of a bolt or threaded rod. This removes sharp thread ends, protects the thread and gives a neat finish on furniture, gates, play equipment and fittings.

Thread the nut on by hand and tighten it clockwise against the surface with a spanner. Make sure the bolt is short enough not to bottom out inside the dome before the nut is tight. Available in M5 and M6.

Used for:

• Furniture, gates and play equipment
• Covering exposed bolt and threaded rod ends

Not a locking nut; use a nylock nut where vibration could loosen it.
