Description

An Emjay 90° insert elbow with one barbed end that pushes into polyethylene pipe and one female BSP threaded end. It turns the line through a right angle and takes a male-threaded sprinkler, riser, nipple or tap adaptor, for example the last sprinkler at the end of a lateral line. Emjay insert fittings are made from black nylon with carbon black for UV resistance.

Push the barbed ends fully into the pipe (warming the pipe end in hot water helps) and fit a hose clamp over each barb so the joint cannot blow off under pressure. Wrap the male thread of the sprinkler or fitting with PTFE tape before screwing it in.
