An Emjay insert female adaptor, 25 mm poly pipe barb x 1″ BSP female, for joining poly pipe to male-threaded fittings.
Description
A straight Emjay insert adaptor in black nylon: Emjay barb on one end for 25 mm polyethylene pipe and a 1″ BSP female thread on the other. Microjet notes the thread was made deeper than usual so impact sprinklers can screw in without bottoming out and jamming.
Fit the pipe right up to the shoulder of the barb and clamp it where the line runs at pressure. Wrap the male thread going in with PTFE tape and do not over-tighten into the nylon.
Used for:
- Impact and centre-pivot sprinkler connections
- Poly pipe to taps, valves and pump outlets
- Joining poly to threaded steel or PVC
