Duram NS1 Rust Buster – a water-based rust converter and primer that turns rust into a primed, paintable surface. 1 litre.
Description
Duram NS1 Rust Buster converts rust into a hard blue-black primed surface that can be painted, which is ideal for corroded iron and steel in hard-to-reach areas where you cannot remove all the rust.
Remove loose rust and flaking paint, then brush on one generous coat at 12–14 m² per litre. It turns blue-black in 2–3 hours. It must be overcoated – Duram recommends NS4 Anti-Rust Primer within 12 hours, or NS5 before water-based paints.
Used for:
- Roofs, gates and fences
- Handrails and burglar bars
- Structural steel
- Rusted areas that are hard to clean back
Not for: Clean, rust-free metal, and surfaces continually above 60 °C.
