Description
Double-action spring hinges let a door push open in either direction and then spring back to the closed centre position. They suit café and kitchen doors and light swing doors between rooms. Oswald Brothers list this 100 mm hinge as sold by the pair.
Fit the hinges with the door slightly clear of the floor and frame so it can swing through. Most spring hinges are tensioned with a pin or bar in the barrel; tension them evenly so the door hangs straight. Black japanned is a painted finish for indoor use.
