Description
Sprint Master is Alpen’s everyday high-speed-steel jobber drill to DIN 338 (standard length), made in Austria and sold here one bit per pack. Alpen grinds the range for tough, accurate drilling in steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals and plastics, and it cuts wood cleanly as well.
The small sizes cover pilot holes and rivets: 3.2mm and 4mm for pop rivets, 4.2mm for M5 tapping and 5mm for M6. Centre-punch steel first, run small bits fast and larger ones slower, and use cutting oil on steel so the edge lasts.
Used for:
- Pilot and rivet holes in steel and aluminium
- Tapping drill sizes for bolts
- General workshop drilling in metal, plastic and wood
Not for masonry or concrete.
