Afrox Vitemax Welding Electrodes 2.5mm – 1kg

Description

Vitemax is Afrox's premium rutile electrode for general mild steel work in all positions, including vertical downwards. It strikes and restrikes easily, runs with a smooth, quiet arc and low spatter, and the slag lifts off easily.

The 2.5mm size suits light to medium steel such as gates, burglar bars, brackets and farm repairs on a small arc welder. Keep the rods dry – damp electrodes spatter and give porous welds.

Used for:

• Gates, burglar bars and security work
• Brackets, frames and trailers
• Farm and workshop repairs
• Tack welding and poor fit-up joints

Not for: Stainless steel, cast iron or aluminium – use the matching electrode.

1kg pack. Store in a dry place with the pack closed; weld with a proper mask, gloves and ventilation.
