Academy putty knife with a stainless steel blade and black plastic handle, for scraping, filling and surface preparation. Available in No. 3 (30mm), No. 5 (50mm), No. 8 (80mm) and No. 10 (100mm).
Description
Academy’s putty knives have a stainless steel blade in a black plastic handle and are numbered by blade width. Academy lists them for removing paint and wallpaper and for surface preparation, and they are equally at home pressing filler and glazing putty into place.
The No. 3 (30mm) gets into window rebates, corners and nail holes. The No. 5 (50mm) is the everyday size for filling cracks. The No. 8 (80mm) and No. 10 (100mm) cover more ground when stripping wallpaper or flaking paint and when feathering filler over wider repairs.
Used for:
- Scraping loose paint and wallpaper
- Applying and smoothing filler and glazing putty
- Surface preparation before painting
Sold each. The stainless blade will not rust, but wipe it clean between loads for a smoother finish.
